Safety Patrol students at Woodland Acres help with Blessings program
Woodland Acres Elementary School in Duval County has the BEST support team! Every week, the school’s fifth-grade safety patrol students make sure that the 300 Blessings food bags are distributed every Friday.
“The students make sure, even when staff isn’t here, the Blessings go out every Friday. They jump right in and get it done. Ensuring that each child receives their Blessings every week. I would like to thank these nine students that make it happen and make a difference, no matter what,” said Charlotte McClendon, the school’s bookkeeper and principal secretary.
“We are pleased to have the program here at Woodland Acres Elementary School. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this partnership in feeding children. It is a blessing to many of our Woodland Acres students and their families. Our students are always excited to receive their Blessings In a Backpack and the smiles and joy on their faces prove it,” Charlotte said.
